Regarding the Output latency, I always thought that was simply the time it takes for the audio to traverse through the hardware. I had a cheap keyboard and used synthesizers and so on. Mostly I use Galaxy. Just look at any digital piano. Most programs however dont even display it and show an “ultra”short latency of the processing buffer. I think now my current Laptop will do it for some other years

James, I seriously considered this. Regarding the Output latency, I always thought that was simply the time it takes for the audio to cfa202 through the hardware.

Subscribe Piano World PianoSupplies. I have an old G4 mini.
I doubt that it will work at all. It’s about like a 1Ghz Pentium-IV.
Inside thay are more like a cell phone than a desktop computer. Employed by Kawai Japanhowever the opinions I express are my own.

And I have several of them, too much to try them all. Yamaha C3X or Estonia by maggiezs. All these concerns about drivers and latency and “crackles” are simple non-issues on a Mini. The latency is locked to whatever I set externally, in the device’s Control Panel. Has required software too except the grand piano samples it ships with is a small single layer that is only about as good as what’s inside lower cost DP.

The latency is worse than average. I did not care much about the crackles, be cause I dont use Truepianos. Probably that would be the most economical way to solve the problem if I sell my current Laptop for ,- ;- Peter.
But I can swear, there is no good latency without crackles with this hardware-driver combination available, whatever VSThost or App I use. It is a customized version.
Galaxy and the Kontakt player use a copy protection where the software is bound to the computer hardware. This worked flawlessly and didnt have the awio of windows ;- Maybe, but it has a lot of other problems.

Most programs however dont even display it and show an “ultra”short latency of the processing buffer. Remember what the leters in “wine” stand for: As for any customization of Linux or Wine done all of this is available for download.
I am offline now – it is bedtime here. The hardware might also have a “safety buffer” on top asuo this. If only Kontakt4 and Galaxy where available for it If I use it to much, open softwarepackages and possibly register them, I cannot send it back.

Like Truepianos, this has an adjustment for the processing buffer. Yes I had now contacted Behringer as well as Centrance and got the answer, that my Computer is too slow.
Of course, if this crappy Firewire Module had usable drivers then it would be even better
